ABOUT US

Silent Twins Media

Our Story

Silent Twins Media is a full production company created by twin sisters, Nakisha and Nichole Celistan in 2018. Their love for the written word was cultivated from a young age in their childhood basement, where they created sketches for family and friends.

Silent Twins Media brings a strong voice to provocative storytelling, collaborating with other visionary writers, directors, and producers to bring films that are both insightful and impactful.

For nearly twenty years, the twins have been working across all verticals, including scripted, unscripted, digital, film, and docuseries. In the early stages of their careers, the sisters were given an opportunity to produce numerous unscripted television shows, but the need to create original scripted content was never far behind.

In 2014, their film, “The B Word,” which conquered the subject of African-American women with bulimia, was screened at the BronzeLens Film Festival, to critical acclaim. It won the coveted Audience Award, setting the stage for tackling complex subjects and bringing them to the forefront of media. The twins’ next film, “Layers,” was another groundbreaking forum discussing the correlation between African-American women and alopecia.

While writing and producing those projects, the twins’ worked closely with lifestyle and culturally-driven networks like BET, History Channel, and TV-One to bring black excellence to the forefront, while simultaneously ensuring that the writing and production process was carefully managed, completed on schedule, and within quality control.

Silent Twins Media is now a production powerhouse offering services in development, production, and post production. They are equipped for all studio, field, and multi-camera shoots regardless of scope and budget.

Future projects in the pipeline include, “Gods & Gangsters,” a novel written by New York Times best-selling author, SLMN, which they have adapted into a television series and are currently pitching to various outlets. Also, a one-hour drama that they are developing for music icons, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris and his wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, and a medical procedural drama that the twins’ sold to Fox, with producing partners Chris Stokes and Marques Houston.

The twins are also developing the pilot for “Heartbeat” with celebrity DJ couple, Jakissa Taylor-Semple known as DJ Kiss, and Masud Semple aka DJ M.O.S. The 10-episode coming of age drama is based on the couple’s lives and rise to status in the celebrity DJ circuit.

Most recently the twins’ wrote and produced an episode on the second season of Partners in Rhyme, now streaming on the AllBLK Network, and participated in the writers’ room on the

upcoming millennial dramedy series, ‘A La Carte,’ executive produced by Breanna Hogan, Dijon Talton, and Meagan Goode.

Prior to that, they served as staff writers on the BET series, Trap Queens, executive produced by Irv Gotti, and wrote/executive produced “Break Up in Love” a short film that served as MC Lyte’s directorial debut.

The twins’ collaboration gives them a unique perspective which fuels their dedication for authentic storytelling. This union makes them unmatched and ones to watch.
